Enfield is the second largest industrial area in London after Park Royal and is a strategic location serving the surrounding area and London.
The development included the acquisition of two sites and was developed in two phases. The first phase included a pre-let to Selco for a 55,000 sq ft distribution unit to serve north London and a new 22,000 sq ft car dealership to Renault due to the proximity of the site to the Retail Park.
The second phase was built on the adjoining site and following the success of Phase 1, Kier speculatively developed 80,000 sq ft of distribution space in three further units.
The three units were sold on completion to Quality UK, a clothing distributor, Chris & Sons, a hairdressing product distributor and Virtus, who converted the building to a datacentre.
Phil Sutton, Director at Kier Property commented, “This was a very successful scheme for Kier in the industrial heartland of Enfield. The clients who occupy the buildings were very impressed by the quality of the specification as well as the look and feel of the scheme.
Our high-quality product continues to attract strong demand from reputable organisations seeking long-term business strategies to grow and expand their businesses. The Logistics City brand underlines the quality of the product and the reputation of Kier Property as one of the leading industrial developers in the Country.”
