About the development
Trade City Chingford was acquired in 2006 from Shadbolts Ltd, an owner occupier of the premises.
The site had excellent frontage and prominence to the north circular making it attractive to occupiers.
Early interest from the self-storage sector resulted in a 65,000 sq ft turn key freehold development for Safestore, which completed in July 2007. The remaining land was sold to General Motors for a three storey car showroom in October 2008 at a record land value.
