PHASE TWO COMMENCES AT ARTIS PARK

June 10, 2021

Kier Property, in partnership with Maple Grove Developments and Yorvale, has commenced its second industrial phase at Artis Park in Winsford.

The JV secured £5m of funding from Cheshire and Warrington LEP in December 2020 and with this new investment the second phase can move forward.  Designed by Fletcher Rae and built by HP Construction, this phase will deliver 54,000 sq ft across three stand-alone units offering space between 10,000 – 26,000 sq ft. Phase 2 is due for completion by the end of this year.

Phase I, comprising 10 units and providing 68,000 sq ft, completed in September 2020. Lettings have been secured with Screwfix, Toolstation and Ross Care. A further two units are now under offer which would represent over two thirds of Phase 1 let.

Henry Martin, senior development manager at Kier Property, said: “These high-quality industrial units have been well received by the market as they offer flexible and energy efficient space which caters to the modern requirements of occupiers. We look forward to completing this next phase and providing further opportunities for local businesses to expand and grow”.

Nik Puttnam, senior development manager at Maple Grove Developments, continued: “The industrial sector continues to be very buoyant. The success of phase one during lockdown has proved that interest remains strong in the area and provided the joint venture with the confidence to move forward with the speculative development of phase two, which will further strengthen the investment in Winsford Industrial Estate.”

Gerald Eve and Legat Owen are the retained agents for phase two and are keen to receive enquiries from perspective occupiers.  The entire £14 million trade counter development comprises 122,000 sq ft of floorspace with flexible units ranging in size from 4,000 – 26,620 sq ft.

Kier Property has operated in the industrial sector for almost 20 years and developed more than six million sq. ft. of industrial space and has a pipeline of more than £1.5bn GDV across all asset classes.
